Astrid is my energetic German walking friend who loves to sing, dance, garden, and take care of animals. We met in Warwick and have been friends since the 1980’s.
Roz and Griff. Dear friends since 1972: Roz a true artist and Griff a true Renaissance man, bring joy to where ever they go.
Pip Klein and Bob Grawi. The Gravikord Duo, friends since the 1980’s. Bob invented the Gravikord, which has been displayed at the Metropolitan Museum in NYC in the permanent musical instrument collection, since 2017. Pip is the flute player in my piano piece Spanish Dream.
Griselda Steiner is a writer and a poet, we have been friends since 1999; a cool, easy going and sensitive spirit.
My best friend. my dog Rebecca, she and I were together from 1982 to Nov 1998.
Stephen Balamut. Stephen has been a long time owner and manufacturer of down pillows and quilts in the factory he owned in Green Point Brooklyn. As an Artist and sculptor throughout his life he has balanced these two disciplines of business and art. Recently he sold his business so he can spend most of his time in his home in Stone Ridge NY and concentrate on his art. I have known Steve since 1975.
Zena Cohen. Zena and I met at a Jin Shin Jyutsu Workshop in Woodstock NY in 2015. We have been very good friends since then. Zena’s life has been devoted to her work in Yoga and Jin Shin Jyutsu. She recently published a book “Alignment and the Sacred Core” that describes her journey in depth.
Rosella. My friend since 1978. We met in Warwick in the Gurdjieff Group. Rosella is extremely well read and loves to investigate all subjects; I love having conversations with her as she makes them so interesting, and there isn’t anything you cannot talk to her about. Our friendship is still going strong today.
John Estridge. I met John and his family (Tari, Lisa, Eric and wife Renee) in Warwick around 1975 in the Gurdjieff group. John was a trumpet player who used to play in the big bands, later he worked at NYU. Later in life we both became engaged in the study of Buddhism and later we both ended moving to Ulster County, he to Woodstock, me to Accord. John passed in 2019 (1931-2019 ).
Molly Crick. I met Molly in Warwick in the 1980’s. Molly loves plants, astrology, homeopathy and pursuing her spiritual path.
Fred and Janine. I met Fred and Janine in Warwick in the 1980’s. Janine worked with Fred who is a professional electrician. Photo from left to right: Fred, me, Reuben, above Janine. Janine and I worked at Jockey Holler Nursery together. Janine kindly and generously let me stay in her trailer in Accord till I found a place to live.

Evelyn Ruut. Evelyn and I met in Warwick, at our Dharma center; we have been Dharma buddies since 1980. Evelyn is a wonderful hostess, artist and cook. We have been very good friends and at one point both lived in Woodstock. Then she and her husband moved to Texas, we miss each other dearly.

We love the land, our plants, animals and the beautiful nature surrounding us. All of us are artist and share the desire to live a more spiritual life.
Renee Estridge on left, Monica Cummings on right. I met Renee (John Estridge’s wife) and Monica in Warwick in the 1970’s. Monica and I did eldercare together for many years, and have enjoyed the warmth of outings, tea parties and dinners together. Renee’s warmth, kindness and hospitality has been a rock to her family and all her friends.
Wesley Crick. I met Wesley in Warwick in the 1980’s. Wesly is working on being a professional psychic. He studies astrology, alternative medicine and meditation. He is husband to Molly Crick.

Sasha Cohen. I met Sasha in Stone Ridge in about 2000. I call Sasha a Mahamudra Artist because when I see her art I want to understand the nature of mind. Her art is transpersonal reflecting universal truths.

Tari Estridge Tari is John Estridge’s daughter. I have been friends with her since 2017. I enjoy her warmth, kindness and hospitality. She loves animals and is a vegan. Squirrels, chipmunks, birds and deer visit her regularly to dine and get their TLC.
Bridget. I met my friend Bridget from Ottisville in the 1980’s . We had a wonderful adventure together going to Boulder Colorado on Amtrak to visit Reuben for graduation at Naropa Institute. We both like to dance, walk, garden and talk about spiritual and esoteric subjects.
Ahga, Mitchelle, Zen and Araja If you want to be true to yourself stay close to nature; and that is exactly what Ahga, Michelle, Zen and Araja do. I have crossed paths with them now and then over a period of 20 years and in 2016 they camped out on my property in Accord. It is refreshing to see a family live so close with nature and her elements. I share Michelle’s love for Middle eastern dance and Ahga’s interest in astrology.
Dr Helga Koenig. Helga and I met in the 1980’s. Both of us love to be in nature, and have taken many walks together. Helga loves animals and has been a vegetarian almost her whole life. I admire her pristine home and personal goodness and elegance.
Perizad I met Perizad around 2010 she is a dancer and teaches Tribal Belly Dance, I studied with her and we also became friends. That is her: center second row with red top. I am immediately to her left in blue. And to my left is Peg. To her right is Pat and to her right Carol. In 2012 we performed at the Diamond Dance Festival in Woodstock NY.
