A Rainbow of Riches

Abridged Autobiography

A Tribute to Life

My mother a noted piano teacher, gifted sight reader and member of the National Guild of Piano Teachers moved up to Warwick from Long Island to be near her children. In Long Island  she had a significant following of piano students and developed a piano teaching business. Every year she would have a recital, and I found her students to be very impressive.

She sold her house in Long Island and in 1977 bought a barn by a lake on Distillery Rd ( now called Echo Lane ) in Warwick, and converted the barn into her home. The home had large rooms with cathedral ceilings perfect for her two Steinway pianos.

Sadly in 1981 she was diagnosed with cancer that was quite advanced and she passed about six month later. I kept the upkeep and managed the Estate until it sold.

At this time I  had a passion for plants and  was working at a greenhouse, so while I was there I landscaped the grounds with beautiful gardens.  Also the spacious rooms lent itself for me to create a few dance and meditation workshops.  After the house sold I left and moved to Ulster County.
